Unity 2D prototype Arcade shooter Starinvaders is inpired on the classic hardcore vertical arcade shoot'em-ups from the 80's with as main goal setting the highest score possible. controls: mouse + WASD or gamepad This prototype is developed as part of the GameDev.TV 2D Unity/C# course, with several additions The game currently features: Gameloop with increasing difficulty and scoring multiplier (game ends after three loops) Gamepad support Configurable loot tables with drop weight per item Animated pixelstyle sprites Gameloop with (simple) configurable and randomizable increase in difficulty custom drop randomizer (the brown coins, wip) highscore saving several shooting styles (the triple shooter is kinda bugged and OP currently, use it:P) The game runs in classic arcade 4:3 aspect ratio in 1024x768 resolution in a window (Alt-Enter to switch fullscreen) and was designed to run Win natively Todo: Splash screen Bosses actual gameplay balancing (interesting patterns etc) (prototype has been focused on the functionality of the gameobjects and systems so far, but is playable. additional pattern and movement variations additional and balanced upgrades (I'd certainly like to revisit this game later on in my journey, currently learning more about the C# language) Credits: Music by SketchyLogic https://opengameart.org/users/sketchylogic Several custom animated Sprites by Margyb! and deegeeooh
